What an origin story this legend has.

Me and the woman were doing tourist shit in Athens, which to be fair is actually quite spectacular. We were waiting in A line and a there was a cute little gay couple behind us. The line was long enough I started eaves dropping on what they were doing to see if there was some sort of dark magic they could wield to let us know what was happening.

Instead of me keeping creeping on them, one of them acted like a human and actually asked me if this was the correct line. I answered I don’t know, I was listening to them to see if this was the correct place to be. They were equally creepy and listening to me and woman also. Well shit, if that isn’t a best friendship then what is?!

The 4 of us ended up going on a drinking adventure through Athens, ending up having one of the best early-days-of-traveling-experiences possible - just a group of randoms that met in a tourist line sharing alcohol, food and good times.

One of the best things about this experience is that I felt like I made a mate for life. We are all old enough to know that time spent together builds friendships, and as we are that time can become fleeting… but occasionally theres just a sense that you’ve met someone from your own tribe.
